Professional and hobby photographers are invited to host their clients for private sessions at Smith Street Studio. The main studio is approximately 1,000sf (22’x46′) with spacious 11′ black ceilings, wood flooring, and white walls. Two 10′ horizontal background rods on hoists make changing your backdrops simple and easy.

  • There is an alleyway adjacent to the building with two beautiful variations of brick colors.
  • Morrow’s Meadow, a large public park, features a creek, river, wooded and open areas, an historic bridge, and small bouldered hills that make great photo spaces.

Per Visit
  • Grand Opening Discount – Schedule your events by April 30, 2024 to get 50% off your bookings through December 31, 2024.
  • “Session Rental Rates” are for a single continuous visit. These rates/hours cannot be split among multiple days/visits. 
  • Reserve early for the best options on choosing your exact start time. 
  • If you need a specific time that is not listed (ex. 3 hours, you would choose the 2 hours rate & multiply by 3 hours, totaling $159.  Choose “Custom” using the online reservation to submit a booking and receive an estimate.
  • Your reservation time has a scheduled hard-start and hard-stop to accommodate other groups and essential cleanings. Please plan your load-in & load-out times accordingly as day of extensions may/may not be possible.
  • The person/organization booking the session is solely responsible for all guests throughout the session and is financially responsible for any damages caused to equipment, facilities, and guests. 
  • IS FOOD ALLOWED? – Hosts are allowed to cater and/or bring food and beverages to their Smith Street Studio booking.
  • IS ALCOHOL ALLOWED? – Yes; the complete alcohol policy must be adhered to to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. Any presence of alcohol on the premises must comply with the State of Indiana guidelines and permits under the responsibility and liability of the host reserving the facility.
  • NO SMOKING OR ILLEGAL DRUGS – We are committed to providing a clean, safe, and healthy environment for all tenants, guests, and visitors; using illegal drugs and/or smoking/vaping inside the premises of Smith Street Studio is prohibited. A cleaning fee of $500 will be charged for smoking in the building.
  • NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT – 25% of the contract is nonrefundable. It may be transferable to a future booking per the cancellation policy.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY – Client cancellation requests made by 11:59p, at least 14 days prior to the booking (cancellation deadline), will receive a 75% refund. All other cancellation requests made in writing to (765) 215.9143 or info@smithstreetstudio.com at least 2 hours in advance will have 100% of Client’s fees applied as credit towards a future reservation at Smith Street Studio. Failure to arrive without notification by Client to Smith Street Studio or within 2 hours prior to the scheduled visit will result in no refund or transference of any fees by Smith Street Studio to Client.

  • 6 Month Commitment Discount – Sign a 6 month commitment and get 10% off

  • The “Monthly Members Flex Plan” allows photographers to get better rates by committing to studio time that can be broken up over multiple visits/days. No carry-over of unused hours.
  • Monthly members with a commitment can reserve time as far out as their commitment goes. Month to month members  can reserve time up to ten days beyond their current billing cycle but must remain on a membership in that next month to maintain the reservation. Reserve early for the best options on choosing your exact start time. 
  • Your reservation time has a scheduled hard-start and hard-stop to accommodate other groups and essential cleanings. Please plan your load-in & load-out times accordingly as day of extensions may/may not be possible.
  • The photographer booking the session is solely responsible for all guests throughout their session and is financially responsible for any damages caused to equipment, facilities, and guests. 
  • Payment Policy: Payment in full is due at the time of the booking. Monthly payments, if applicable, will be made on the same day each month.
  • Damage Deposit: TBD
  • Adding Services Reservation Modifications Policy: Additional requests for equipment and time will be honored as available; increases that provide the customer with additional discounts will be utilized if scheduling allows. Additional time extension requests made after 11:59p, 2 days prior to the booking, will utilizes the base rate ($60/hr).
  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations requests made by 11:59p, at least 14 days prior to the booking (cancellation deadline), will receive a full refund. All other cancellation requests will have 100% of their fees applied as credit towards a future reservation at Smith Street Studio.
  • Reducing Services Reservation Modifications Policy: Changes & modification requests made by 11:59p, at least 14 days prior to the booking (cancellation deadline), will be honored. Requests made after the cancellation deadline will have up to 100% of their fees credited towards a future reservation at Smith Street Studio.
