Workshops & Classes

Artists and entrepreneurial creatives are invited to host workshops, classes, and sales events at Smith Street Studio. The main studio is approximately 1,000sf (22’x46′) with spacious 11′ black ceilings, wood flooring, white walls, and is well lit for creative work environments. Studio rental includes tables and chairs that can be arranged for groups of various sizes and settings.

Included Features

The main studio can be setup in a variety of different configurations depending on your needs and the experience you are trying to create. In addition to the main room, there is an 5×10 area near the back of the building where you can set equipment and supplies that need to be off-stage.

  • Monthly Workshop/Class Partnership Discount
    • Schedule a series of 3-6- events and get 10% off of your reservations.
    • Schedule a series of 7-10 events and get 15% off your reservations.
    • Schedule a series of 11 or more events and get 20% off your reservations.
  • “Session Rental Rates” are for a single continuous visit. These rates/hours cannot be split among multiple days/visits. 
  • Reserve early for the best options on choosing your exact start time. 
  • If you need a specific time that is not listed (ex. 3 hours, you would choose the 2 hours rate & multiply by 3 hours, totaling $159.  Choose “Custom” using the online reservation to submit a booking and receive an estimate.
  • Your reservation time has a scheduled hard-start and hard-stop to accommodate other groups and essential cleanings. Please plan your load-in & load-out times accordingly as day of extensions may/may not be possible.
  • The person/organization booking the session is solely responsible for all guests throughout the session and is financially responsible for any damages caused to equipment, facilities, and guests. 
  • IS FOOD ALLOWED? – Hosts are allowed to cater and/or bring food and beverages to their Smith Street Studio booking.
  • IS ALCOHOL ALLOWED? – Yes; the complete alcohol policy must be adhered to to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. Any presence of alcohol on the premises must comply with the State of Indiana guidelines and permits under the responsibility and liability of the host reserving the facility.
  • NO SMOKING OR ILLEGAL DRUGS – We are committed to providing a clean, safe, and healthy environment for all tenants, guests, and visitors; using illegal drugs and/or smoking/vaping inside the premises of Smith Street Studio is prohibited. A cleaning fee of $500 will be charged for smoking in the building.
  • NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT – 25% of the contract is nonrefundable. It may be transferable to a future booking per the cancellation policy.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY – Client cancellation requests made by 11:59p, at least 14 days prior to the booking (cancellation deadline), will receive a 75% refund. All other cancellation requests made in writing to (765) 215.9143 or info@smithstreetstudio.com at least 2 hours in advance will have 100% of Client’s fees applied as credit towards a future reservation at Smith Street Studio. Failure to arrive without notification by Client to Smith Street Studio or within 2 hours prior to the scheduled visit will result in no refund or transference of any fees by Smith Street Studio to Client.
